The Metropolitan Police of Barranquilla is investigating the attacks with a knife of which the mother and daughter were victims in the El Bosque neighborhood of Barranquilla.
The events took place early this Sunday in a home located on Calle 63 B with Carrera 9.
According to authorities, the victims were identified as Liliana Pérez Vuelvas, 39 years old; and Oneidas Come back, of 59.
The official report indicates that Liliana Pérez’s ex-partner entered her home from the back, entered the room and began attacking her on several occasions.
In the middle of the violent event, Mrs. Oneidas tries to intervene and is attacked with a knife by the aggressor.

Mother and daughter were helped and taken to the Barranquilla Hospital where they are stable.
Given what happened, Colonel Dave Figueroa, Operational Commander of the Metropolitan Police of Barranquilla indicated that “The Purple Patrol of the National Police carries out all investigative work within the framework of all gender-based violence and violence against women. We invite the community in general and our women to report any type of violence.”
