The model and journalist Yoana Don, is preparing for the national final of the Miss Universe Argentina 2024 beauty contest, which will be next May 25 in Buenos Aires. The notary and Miss World 2014 will represent the province of Santa Fe after being chosen among the 25 provincial finalists.
In contact with From mouth to mouth (Radio 2) told what his decision was to join the contest. “I was Miss World Argentina in 2014 and I represented the country in London. At that time the national election was held in Rosario and the owner of the contest was Donald Trump, who later sold the franchise when he chose to run for president. Since then I realized that I had an outstanding debt and it was from the other contest, Miss Universe,” he said.
“In that year I was neither a notary nor a journalist. Now, in these latest contests, the competition has accommodated and grown hand in hand with society. For example, three years ago they changed the requirements, in the last one, they removed the limit of Before it was 17 to 27 years old, now it is 17 and older, that is why Miss Universe Buenos Aires is 60 years old – although it may not seem like it – and is participating in the national final,” he explained.
“Moms can participate and you don’t have to be a woman by birth. The year they allowed transgender women, very important people ran for office, but since these changes were made recently, there were no winners until now.”
Next May 25, the national final will be in Buenos Aires. Yoana will have the support of the province and from the Miss Universe application the community will be able to vote for the candidates. “I have had jurisdiction in Rosario for 10 years, I have a lot to give back to the city because it gave me a lot. I graduated here, and I built my life, that’s why I decided to go to Santa Fe”he concluded.
