The Ombudsman, Carlos Camargo Assis, called on the National Government to take immediate and coordinated measures to remedy this situation.
The absence of educational services not only affects the academic development of minors, but also their free personal development and comprehensive training.
According to the Ombudsman’s Office, the shortage of teachers is one of the main problems faced by these educational institutions.

This situation has led the Ombudsman’s Office to undertake constitutional actions to guarantee the right to education for the 300 affected minors.
It is expected that the competent authorities will adopt concrete measures to ensure the return to classes of those who have been deprived of this right, as well as to provide the necessary resources for Nariño.
