The domestic violence scandal involving Juan Arturo Gutiérrez, the current husband of the mayor of Ibagué, Johana Aranda, is gaining strength.
Gutiérrez’s former romantic partner, Paula Viviana Salinas, appeared on national television to tell details of the case that leaves the Social Manager of Ibagué and also the administration of Mayor Aranda in a very bad position.
In an interview with Noticias Uno, Salinas told details of the severe beatings that, according to her, Gutiérrez gave her when she was pregnant with her first child. It all would have started in 2013.
“The first scene that occurred was when I was pregnant. I received blows from him, my face turned purple, my arms. That’s how it happened. After the pregnancy I didn’t make any decisions and the blows became more constant every day,” Salinas said.
The woman also reported Gutiérrez for lack of food assistance for her son. According to her, after several years of non-compliance with the support quota, she recently decided to look for the file at the Second Family Police Station and was surprised to find that it had disappeared from six offices attached to the Mayor’s Office of Ibagué.
Therefore, Salinas had to file a guardianship action. A judge of the Republic protected the right at his request and ordered the Mayor’s Office to reconstruct the missing file in a maximum of two months.
“I don’t know what actions to take because I have received a series of warnings, like I should stop here because otherwise they are going to ruin my life.” professional, work, personal; that they are going to damage my reputation, that they can leave me without a job,” said Paula Viviana.
Until now, the Social Manager of Ibagué and the mayor herself remain absolutely silent about this scandal that is already generating controversy even at the national level.
