While in the National Congress, the Deputies meet to give half sanction to the Base Law, the Mesa Vitícola de San Juan issued a statement giving its support. Representatives of this sector maintain that this labor and tax reform that the project includes will help boost them and grow.

In the manifesto, they expressed “firm support for the labor and fiscal reforms contemplated in the draft Law “Bases and Starting Points for the Freedom of Argentines” and other complementary measures.”

In their arguments, they indicated that they recognize “the crucial importance of implementing reforms that promote competitiveness and efficiency in the wine sector, generating an environment conducive to economic growth and job creation. In this sense, we believe that the proposed modifications, such as lower taxes and labor flexibility, are essential to strengthen the position of companies and workers in the sector, as well as to promote investment and innovation.”

“These amendments would imply the opportunity to provide certainty and legal security for investment projects in our Province. San Juan is witness to a virtuous process in which, with many lessons learned from successes and failures, we know that a large investment is only made through a network of SMEs and local jobs, producers, attraction of medium-sized national companies that articulate regionally, and a broader circle of economic diversification in the departments and throughout the Province,” they insist.

Therefore, for this session, they expressed that San Juan legislators, “both deputies and senators, must consider it essential to support those tools that allow economic growth and social development.”
