In a letter addressed to the Central Workers of Cuba (CTC) and the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), the party organization transmitted its revolutionary greetings regarding the activities organized in that country for this date.

The PCT supported the call for the International Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba and against Imperialism organized by the CTC and the ICAP.

He condemned the blockade imposed by successive United States administrations on that Caribbean nation for more than six decades “violating international law and 31 resolutions of the UN General Assembly, which by an overwhelming majority calls every year for the end of this unilateral policy.”

He maintained that sanctions and blockades are part of the imperialist policy to try to surrender the countries, but the brave people of Cuba and its vanguard organizations maintain and defend their Revolution and their sovereignty against that purpose.

He reiterated his support and solidarity with the people, the government, the Communist Party of Cuba, the CTC and all the organizations in which that Caribbean nation is organized and resists imperial aggression.

The International Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba and Anti-imperialism will meet until tomorrow in the capital of Cuba and in the western province of Artemisa.

The CTC reported in Havana that more than a thousand delegates and guests are participating in the event that seeks to strengthen global solidarity with the Cuban people and their Revolution.

The general secretary of the PCT, Manuel Salazar, told Prensa Latina that the activities organized in Cuba for May 1 are attended by Ramón Nolasco Martínez, leader of that organization and the Classist Union of Workers, UCT.
