May Day at the Anti-imperialist Tribune in Havana (+photos) – Escambray

In Havana, some 200,000 people, from five municipalities, and more than 100,000 friends in solidarity with Cuba, gathered at the Anti-imperialist Tribune to celebrate International Workers’ Day.

Thousands of Havana residents who go out every day to build a better country, through work and commitment to Cuba, gathered at the emblematic Anti-Imperialist Tribune to celebrate May Day, International Workers’ Day.

Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, leader of the Cuban Revolution, and Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, together with other leaders, attended the place.

The rally was a special moment to ratify unity around the revolutionary project, denounce the criminal and intensified blockade of the United States against our country, and advocate for the workers and the just causes of the world, especially to stop Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people.

Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, general secretary of the Cuban Workers’ Union (CTC), pointed out at the event that this day is dedicated to the heroism of the Cuban people, who concentrate their efforts on economic recovery as the fundamental battle.

From early on, around the capital’s esplanade, escorted by the Malecón, workers from all the productive and service sectors of the capital, students, and the family in general who usually attend these celebrations, which have become a town festival, gathered. .
