In each town, community and municipal seat of the Sancti Spiritus geography where the Day of the World Proletariat was celebrated, side by side with the labor movement, the Sancti Spiritus peasantry was represented. Also in the city of Yayabo, in the block of the Agricultural, Tobacco and Forestry Union, the cooperative sector marched.

“This parade has been another example that worker-peasant unity is valid in Cuba, with the same validity as when, called by Fidel, it contributed to the victory of the revolutionary process. The workers and peasants have remained united in all tasks, in production and in the defense of socialism,” said Carballé Pérez.
