One of those affected, a student from the Technological Units of Santander, who while taking an exam, a criminal took the opportunity to take a motorcycle in the Royal Citadel of Minas.

One of the victims of motorcycle theft acknowledged that he left his vehicle in a public place and the criminals took advantage of this to steal it.

According to the affected person, he had a partial exam at the Santander Technological Units and at the end of the academic activity, his motorcycle was no longer in the place where he left it parked.

“I went out and the motorcycle was no longer there, fortunately it had GPS, I went to the Police and we managed to recover it. As a lesson, I must not leave it on public roads and I advise you to put a padlock or the GPS system on it. It is an effort that one makes to have their own vehicle and cannot ‘put up’ with it being stolen just like that,” said the affected person.

In total, there were three motorcycles recovered by the Police in the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga under the ‘Seven Days of Security’ strategy.

“We have deployed registration, control and background check plans at strategic points where the recovery of motorcycles that had been stolen has been achieved,” the Police said.

As a noteworthy fact, the uniformed Mebuc Police have managed to recover 209 motorcycles so far in 2024.

“We invite the community to be part of the Civic Participation Network by promptly reporting to line 123 or the quadrant numbers any criminal act or act that affects peace,” recalled the Mebuc Police.
