Venezuelan César Farías broke the silence after his departure from América de Cali in the last hours.
The former coach of the Cali team spoke about what happened and gave his point of view, arguing that he had to endure difficult things and that he recovered from a complex situation, without organizing the preseason or asking for reinforcements.
“We really did not meet the objectives set and they fired us in an established manner, which was in the contract, and this is part of football. I knew it before coming here. My representative told me that I was about to buy a problem because these owners had had 16 trainers. Now the 17th or 18th will come. It is an issue that we knew could happen if the results did not arrive. If they told me after the game against Alianza for the Cup it was normal, but losing one game in the last ten I was excited to continue. I take it calmly, we lacked results for it to be another story,” commented Farías.
Regarding the conditions of his departure: “There was nothing in writing. America had been regularly classified at eight for some time but I did not do preseason, I did not bring players, I came at a difficult time, I did not put together the team, I had to endure everything difficult and we did it“.
