According to the Colombian Geological Service, It can be said that there are 2,500 earthquakes a month throughout Colombian soil, but in the famous Seismic nest of Bucaramanga, there are tremors every day and up to 60% of the entire country is recorded in that place. Something that does not depend on the high temperature in that place, since in cities and surroundings of Bogotá, Manizales, Tunja and Pasto strong tremors are felt and their temperatures are much lower than those already referenced in the municipalities and cities of Santander.

“So far there is no scientific evidence to support this belief. Earthquakes are the result of dynamics inside the Earth, a phenomenon that occurs underground. Heat, on the other hand, is a thermal sensation generated by atmospheric dynamics.”says the geological authority in Colombia.
