Tragic news was reported in Girón, Santander, when the murder of an 8-year-old girl, of foreign nationality, identified as Kerly Cuevas, was confirmed. The alleged murderer was captured.

The little girl was kidnapped in the morning hours of Wednesday, May 1, in the Rincón de Girón neighborhood. In security cameras, it was seen that The minor was with a man, whom they identified as the owner of the house where the victim lived with her family for rent.
The subject was captured and taken to the Attorney General’s Office in the afternoon, but there was no trace of the girl.
It was not until night when the authorities of Girón, in Santander, located Kerly’s lifeless body, near the Girón Metrolínea station.
“It hurts us as parents that, in one of our neighborhoods, a mother who, due to her work, leaves her daughter in the hands of a neighbor and such an unfortunate event ends up happening“said the mayor of the municipality, Campo Elías Ramírez, when confirming Kerly’s crime.
