The Municipality of Neuquén continues with the negotiation with the Municipal Workers Union (SITRAMUNE) and offered a new salary agreement which includes a non-remunerative bonus and with an increase tied to the Consumer Price Index (CPI), with the same characteristics as the one agreed between the provincial government and the state unions. The offer has already been sent and are waiting for the union’s response.
The offer presented by the Municipality on Thursday morning includes a sum of an extraordinary nature, non-remunerative and non-rewardable 150,000 to be paid on May 10from which the mayor and the secretaries are excluded.
Secondly, they offer a salary update by CPI for the period March 2024-January 2025 that will be applied in the months of April, July, October and January 2025.
With respect to April updatethe salary for said month will be considered and the CPI variations for the month of March will be applied to it, said sum will be paid through a complementary payroll on May 10.

On the other hand, in the following updates the accumulated variation of the immediately previous quarter will be applied, that is, in the update of July 2024 It will be the accumulated CPI for the months April, May and June; on the salary established in the last update carried out in the month of April 2024. Said CPI variations to be applied in salary updates will be calculated as a weighted average of fifty percent (50%) of the consumer price index prepared and published by the Provincial Directorate of Statistics and Censuses of the Province of Neuquén and fifty percent percent (50%) of the consumer price index prepared by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) for the national total.
