Bridges and roads closed due to the storm that affected Misiones

Several sectors with stream overflows are recorded in the southern and central areas of the Province, so there are partially available sections on provincial routes 3, 4 and 225. However, they reported that passage on the temporary bridges of provincial route No. 7 over the Tabay stream in Jardín América and in Santa Rita, over the Pindaity stream on provincial route No. 2.

The Provincial Directorate of Roads reported that in the town of Oligario V Andrade, the passage on provincial route No. 3 is limited due to the overflowing of the Tigre stream. At the scene, the Police order traffic and only large vehicles pass through.

In the town of Leandro N. Alem, traffic is limited on both sides of provincial route No. 4 at km 78 where the stream exceeded the height of the main road. It is in the section that connects Leandro N. Alem with Bonpland.

On the other hand, near the municipality of Leandro N. Alem, on Provincial Route No. 225, traffic is restricted with controlled passage in both directions due to the flooding of the Arreame stream. The aforementioned sites are under permanent monitoring and could be completely interrupted if weather conditions persist and the passage becomes unsafe.

In Colonia Domingo Savio, municipality of San Ignacio, the temporary crossing over the Yabebiry stream, on the local road that connects the area with the municipality of Mártires, is closed to traffic.

It should be remembered that the National Meteorological Service maintains an Orange level warning for intense rainfall in different parts of the province of Misiones.

“The area will continue to be affected by rains and storms, some locally strong or severe. They will be accompanied, mainly by abundant falls of water in short periods, fall of hail and intense gusts, and frequent electrical activity,” they highlighted.
