TOauthorities in Calamar, Guaviaredecreed a curfew after the terrorist attack against the police station with four devices thrown, two of which exploded at the main door and on a side wall of the headquarters.

Mayor Farid Castaño pointed out that the four explosive devices, handcrafted with gas cylinders, were installed behind the cemetery, near the Altos de Villa Ligia settlement, 900 meters from the police station.

From there they launched them and one exploded at the main door, and another on a side wall of the police station, which fortunately did not cause damage to any uniformed personnel or person. The other two devices did not explode, one fell inside the police facilities, and were detonated in a controlled manner by the Army.

After that terrorist attack, a security council was held
in which it was determined to decree a curfew – prohibiting the free movement of citizens in the town – from 10:00 at night until 4:00 in the morning, from May 2 to May 7.

In addition, male or female accompanying grillers on motorcycles were prohibited from 6:00 to 10:00 at night, as well as the marketing, sale or transportation of gas cylinders, from 4:00 in the afternoon to 4:00 p.m. :00 in the morning of the next day.

The president assured that “we are deeply sad because more than ten years ago these events did not occur in the municipality of Calamar and it calls us to reflect.” and to look at how we are going back in time and how we are reliving situations that we thought we had overcome.”
