CÓRDOBA, May 2. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The group of Hacemos Córdoba in the capital’s City Hall has expressed this Thursday its “deep concern about the image that the city projects to those who visit it, endangering its position as a top-level tourist destination”, which is why it has demanded the implementation of “urgent” measures.

As stated by the group in a note, “this worrying situation is a direct consequence of the ineffectiveness and lack of management of the government team, headed by the mayor”, so that “in a crucial month for the economy of Córdoba, the city finds itself with an image of neglect and apathy that is unacceptable,” he warned.

In this sense, he pointed out that “in the midst of a tourism boom, Córdoba faces the unfortunate situation that for quite a few days only one tourist information point has been operational”, after “the Tendillas point has not been operational until this Thursday.” open state, the one at the station is closed and the one on the Boulevard still does not open its doors, depriving visitors of accessing crucial information about the tourist attractions, values and heritage of the city.

In addition, they have said that “the disappearance of important tourist products is worrying, such as the Alcázar night show, which is neither there nor expected; the celebration of events such as the Wine Tasting and the Alhambra Garden, and the suspension of the Autumn of the Horse”. “This lack of management is seriously affecting the city’s tourist attractions and harming both citizens and tourists,” they added.

To this they add that “some festivals are losing their essence, as is the case of the Cruces de Mayo; that to date the plans of the patios have not been distributed, and that they begin today, and the lamentable state in which they are finds the city in terms of its maintenance, with dirty streets, squares full of graffiti and a general lack of care and attention on the part of the municipal authorities.

Given this, they have demanded that the mayor, José María Bellido, “take immediate measures to reverse this situation and return Córdoba its image as a first-class tourist destination”, so they see it as “fundamental that tourism products function properly, that all the tourist information points are open and that the maintenance of the city is improved”, while they have urged the councilor to “abandon his inaction and work decisively to recover the image that Córdoba deserves as a tourist destination of excellence.”
