From the details of this macabre crime, it is known that the mother had been living in the place where she rented the room to the suspect for a year and a half and had been residing in Colombia for four years.

Kely Mancerán, the girl’s mother, expressed that, given this relationship, statements must be delivered to the Prosecutor’s Office.

The father of the eight-year-old girl died when the child was just eight months old.

Colonel Diego Pinzón, commander in charge of the Bucaramanga police, revealed that this man had a history of domestic violence. In addition, she confirmed that through gifts she convinced the girl to leave the house.

Kely Mancerán, 29 years old, mother of the minor, told TIME that in that house in Girón they live with their brother, sister, another man and the alleged suspect in the disappearance and death of the little girl.

“I had left her with Mrs. Rosa, I went to work, I left her at home, when they called me and told me that the girl did not appear. She is my trusted person, I came from Venezuela with her and there were several occasions when the girl took care of me. They had a non-stable relationship, they were not a couple, but they had intimate relationships,” she said.

​According to the version that Rosa gives to Mancerán, the woman would have told the girl not to go far because she was preparing empanadas for breakfast. “She was playing on the stairs and suddenly he didn’t see her anymore,” she said.
