From May 2 to 31, projects that want to be financed can apply.
Tunja, May 2, 2024 (UACP). The Boyacá Grande government, through the Ministry of Agriculture, opens the seventh call for the Capitalization Incentive Fund (FINCA) ‘For Water and Life’.
“Our government has a serious commitment to the protection, recovery and supply of water resources. For that reason, today we open the call for the seventh version of the FINCA Fund, which this year will be focused on water and life in the countryside,” highlighted Carlos Amaya, governor of Boyacá.
The president reported that approximately 3,000 million pesos will be invested in this initiative to finance machinery and technology for irrigation.
“We are proud to continue with this fund that we launched in 2018 and that has benefited more than 91,000 farmers in Boyacá,” highlighted Governor Amaya.
On this occasion, projects will be financed that promote efficient management of water resources as a strategy for modernization, competitiveness and sustainability in agricultural and aquaculture production presented by municipalities, producer or peasant organizations, associations of users of irrigation districts, legal entities of solidarity economy, Community Action Boards and strategic alliances of the department of Boyacá.
The FINCA Fund will cover up to 60% of the value of each project, as long as it does not exceed 250 SMMLV, which by 2024 corresponds to $325,000,000.
The proponent and its allies, if they have them, will co-finance at least 40% of the total value of the project with resources in kind or cash.
Some examples of financeable items:
- Supplies of accessories for the optimization and/or rehabilitation of irrigation districts such as valves, macrometers, micrometers, property boxes, filters and suction cups, PVC and/or HDPE pipes.
- Motor pumps, Zamorano or Australian tanks, geomembrane for waterproofing reservoirs, among others.

• Opening of reception of project profiles: May 2, 2024
• Closing date for receipt of project profiles: May 31, 2024, until 11:00 am
• Publication of minutes of project profiles to be financed: July 5, 2024.
