Guantánamo – Students Daniel Barrientos, from the Josué País school; Mercis Argüelles, from Tamara Bunke Basic Secondary School; and Oriaris Flores, from the Vietnam Heroico semi-boarding school, deserved the first three places in the Pedro Agustín Pérez Contest and the Guantanamo mambisadocoinciding with the commemoration of the 180th anniversary of the birth of this distinguished patriot of the eastern territory.

The researcher and historian of this eastern city, Jose Sanchez Guerraannounced on his Facebook social network profile that the award ceremony took place in the House Museum erected in honor of the Major General of the Liberating Army.

In the publication on this digital platform, Sánchez Guerra said that students from primary and basic secondary education participated in the meeting, as well as representatives of the Municipal Directorate of Education and the José Martí Brigade of Art Instructors in the territory, and workers from the museological institution where the contest award ceremony took place.
