Independiente defeated Juventud Unida 2-0 at the Néstor Díaz Pérez stadium, in the round of 16 of the Argentine Cup and qualified for the round of 16. His next rival will be the winner between Godoy Cruz and El Porvenir.

Alexis Canelo and Alex Luna were the authors of the goals for the Avellaneda team.
