The forecast of National Metereological Service indicates an increase in temperature for this Monday, in addition to the fact that a large part of the province is on yellow alert due to wind and Zonda wind.

Due to the arrival of Zonda wind, The temperature will rise and in Greater Mendoza the maximum will be 17° and the minimum will be 7°.

“The area will be affected by Zonda wind with speeds between 40 and 50 km/h with gusts that could reach 75 km/h. This phenomenon can cause reduced visibility, a sudden increase in temperature and conditions of very low relative humidity,” explained the SMN.

The gusts of hot wind are expected to arrive on Monday afternoon and affect Las Heras, Luján de Cuyo, Junín, Rivadavia, San Carlos, Tunuyán, Tupungato, General Alvear, San Rafael and Malargüe.

Meanwhile, the Mendoza mountain range, from north to south, is on yellow alert for winds. “The coverage area will be affected by winds from the western sector with speeds between 50 and 70 km/h with gusts that could reach 90 km/h,” explains the SMN.
