International Educational Film Exhibition in San José de las Lajas

San José de las Lajas, capital of Mayabeque, is one of the sub-venues of the Fourth edition of the International Educational Film Exhibition (MICE) that will take place from today until May 12 of this year in different spaces in the country.

The head of the Development and Programming department of the Provincial Directorate of Culture, Sandra Pérez Fajardo, reported that prior to the contest, this municipality received producers from that exhibition, who presented the program of the event that will have Germany as a guest country.

According to the organizers, the 2024 International Educational Film Festival will include professional educational films and audiovisuals made by children and adolescents in learning environments.

This edition dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the first two animated shorts of the emblematic Cuban character Elpidio Valdés, will have as its main stage the Cine Teatro Lajero, where on May 7, 8 and 9, it will screen films aimed at Early Childhood and Primary Education , on Tuesday, on Wednesday for teenagers from Basic Secondary School and on Thursday for young people and adults.

Pérez Fajardo stated that in the first two days there will be two rounds, one at 10 in the morning and another at 2 in the afternoon, while the closing appointment proposes a third at 6 after meridian.

As in previous editions, this International Educational Film Exhibition will also feature conferences and workshops led by specialists who will share their knowledge with children, adolescents, art instructors, teachers, project managers and media professionals.
