Jorge Luis Pinto himself told José Alberto Ortiz, a journalist from Caracol Radio in Cali, what happened, since the salary had already been agreed upon and there had even been talk of some hiring for the second half of the year, where the objective will be to maintain the category.
“It all ended on Friday afternoon. In the talks everything was defined, the time, the money, the options to hire two class A players and everything else. On Friday Guido (Jaramillo) called me saying no, they did not consider what had been discussed concluded.”said the 71-year-old coach.
Pinto had a recent stint at the Valle del Cauca institution between 2022 and 2023. His departure occurred due to disagreement with the hiring of the player Luis Sandoval, situation that made the coach feel disrespected.
