Water rationing in Bogotá daily consumption shift seven May 5

Shift seven of the third water rationing cycle that ended at 8:00 am this Monday, May 6, according to a report from the Bogotá Aqueduct and Sewer Company -EAAB-, presented an average consumption of 15.80 m³ per second.

The level of the Chingaza System reservoirs went from 16.91% (May 4) to 17.98% with the cutoff on May 5.

The Chingaza reservoirs rose by nearly 3.5 million m³ in the last few hours thanks to the rains. We need many days like yesterday in the reservoirs, but Bogotá also needs all of us, we have to continue working to reduce water consumption.

The District continues to invite citizens to ration water consumption, to change habits and contribute to saving water to guarantee that all citizens in Bogotá and surrounding municipalities have access to this vital liquid.

#CloseTheKeyNow and helps contribute to saving water in the city. Remember that it is not about saving water but about consuming less. Help with three-minute showers, avoid washing cars, windows or facades and do not accumulate more water than necessary for the basics.

We share a post from Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán with more details of the water consumption report from yesterday, May 5:
