Again the governor of Tolima, Adriana Magali Matiz, attacked him Central General Staff whose presence continues to grow in the department while calling for concrete actions by the National Government to guarantee security in the territories.
The sectional representative released new details of the actions that the FARC dissidents have been carrying out in several municipalities of Tolima, affecting the tranquility of its inhabitants.
“First were the illegal checkpoints, then it was the extortions, then the ID cards that appeared in our department after 20 years; Now, they are present, they paint walls and can be seen in municipalities such as Anzoátegui, Rioblanco, Santa Isabel, Lérida and in the leaks of this same city. And as if that were not enough, believing themselves to be in authority, they decreed a curfew in two municipalities in our neighboring department of Huila,” the president mentioned.
In the middle of a flag oath ceremony for police auxiliaries in Murillo Toro Park, Governor Adriana Matiz urged the officers present at the ceremony: “This, friends of the Police, of the Military Forces, must stop now. I ask for more actions, a peace policy that reaches the territories and that reaches the territories with the public offer and the services of the State, with social investment as we want to do from the Government of Tolima and as we are doing it without letting go, colonel, one centimeter the control and presence in the territory of the Police and the Public Force. We cannot allow violence to appear again in our territory. Not one step back, security is everything and without it there is nothing,” said the governor of Tolima in the middle of an angry speech.
Matiz again asked the National government put an end to the ceasefire with the Central General Staff in this area of the country.
