In the midst of the paralysis of public works due to the policies of the Government of Javier MileiChubut is analyzing the possibility of continuing infrastructure projects through its own resources.

Among these alternatives, the governor Ignacio Torres signed an agreement in recent days with its peers Río Negro and Neuquén for the expansion of the Patagonian Cordilleran Gasduct, with a joint investment between these three provinces.

In this framework, the provincial leader referred this Monday to another of the areas that were abandoned by the National Government: housing construction. Specifically, Torres spoke about the Procreate plan and the possibility of the Provincial State completing the works on the homes that remain to be completed.

“With the Procrear theme there is a trust that has the hipotecary Banc and we have the tool in the Bank of Chubut to be able to transfer the assets and liabilities, in this way the Province would be responsible for the collection, the recovery of those homes and also the completion,” Torres said at a press conference.

According to the provincial leader, there are works that “are 95% complete and it would be a shame if we cannot move forward quickly.”

Apparently the Nation’s decision would be to continue with the transfer and we want Chubut be the first province to take charge of the procreater“, he concluded.
