Different organizations of the university establishments of the Caribbean Region will gather in the department of La Guajira, with the purpose of bringing together the different expressions or actors of the university movement who must provide input within the framework of the education reform.
This day will bring together students, teachers and workers, along with valuable actors from the social and popular movement, who have a presence in the different territories that make up the wonderful Caribbean region where they will converge in large spaces to prepare for the call of the Regional Multi-State and Multi-Sector Forum.
“This Forum is a territorial perspective and broadly builds a unitary mobilization agenda, which allows generating an active, organized, constant and permanent exercise for the defense of the right to education as a common good.“, he assured Dioselin Muñozstudent representative before the Academic Council of the Universidad del Atlántico.

The facilities of the Miguel Pinedo Barros rural educational institution, located in the town of The Tip of the Remediesin the municipality of Dibulla of the department of La Guajira, will be the epicenter that will receive delegations from Córdoba, Sucre, Bolívar, Atlántico, Magdalena, Cesar and those who will be based, La Guajira, which will house the guests at the Maziruma recreational center.
“It will be a generation on the verge of representing the historical legacy of hundreds of generations to finally achieve a new higher education law in accordance with the needs of the Colombian people.“, indicated Dioselin Muñoz, student organizer.
The participating Caribbean delegations will have the task of converging in preparation spaces that allow strengthening the levels of articulation in the territories, the positioning of the debates and the collection of contributions on the university reforms.
With the firm conviction of promoting a regional scenario with a critical, comprehensive, anti-patriarchal, and anti-racist approach, which allows the construction and vision of higher education at the service of the people. The forum will be held this May 25 and 26 in Maziruma in the municipality of Dibulla, department of La Guajira.
