The awards ceremony for the Decimas Contest will be held this Monday at Havana’s Casa de la Poesía, and the European Union Colloquium will also take place, according to the schedule.

For tomorrow, Tuesday (and until May 12), Germany, France, Sweden and Bulgaria are scheduled to participate in the fourth International Educational Film Festival (MICE), an event held this month in Cuba, and which includes a selection of European films. for children, young people and adolescents.

In the evening, the Fashion in da’house parade will take place at the National Museum of Fine Arts, by Caribbean designers, followed by the fashion design awards.

This initiative is supported by the Netherlands embassy in Havana and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), among other supports.

Next Wednesday, the Children’s Workshop on Greece, sponsored by the diplomatic headquarters of that country in Cuba, will take place at the Palacio del Segundo Cabo, in the Historic Center of Havana.

Later in this same venue the awards ceremony for the children’s Drawing Europe contest will be held.

On Thursday, May 9, the celebration of the Month of Europe, a multicultural and multinational expression, ends here, on a date that is celebrated as Europe Day.

Over the course of a month, this event offered a cultural program with nuanced programs of cinema, theater, dance, visual arts, literature and many other artistic manifestations.

According to Isabel Brilhante, EU ambassador in Cuba, it is the second time that the European delegation and the 17 embassies of the member states accredited in this capital collaborate to bring such a project to life.

Also for the first time, and under the premise of United in Diversity, the event reached the provinces of Cienfuegos, Holguín, Santiago de Cuba and the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud.
