Since his childhood, Marcelo Andrade has been marked by his ease in drawing and the arts, standing out at an early age in competitions and at school. During his youth he developed a wide range of drawings in graphite and charcoal, with a particular working technique. which he still preserves.

He was born in Santiago de Chile, in March 1974 and has lived in Mendoza since 2018. In his childhood he began realistic drawing in graphite and charcoal. Since 1998, feeling the need to capture his passion on canvas, he was encouraged to venture into oil painting as a self-taught artist.

From 2005 to 2007, he served as director of the Cerrillos Cultural Center, in Chile. In 2008 and 2009 he received a scholarship to study realism at the Academy of Contemporary Art and Authors (ARAUCO) based in Chinchón, a town southeast of Madrid (Spain), under the direction of the Chilean artist Guillermo Muñoz Vera.

In 2011, he moved to the town of Casablanca (Chile), where he established his residence and began a new pictorial stage, visiting historical places and landscapes in various areas of the region.

In 2016, he was invited to exhibit at the 2nd International Meeting of Painters Pinta Maipú for the Country and in 2018, he inaugurated a headquarters in Mendoza for his academy. Art In Movement.

Throughout his career, he has participated in more than 20 individual exhibitions and around 40 group exhibitions. She also obtained mentions in various national and international competitions and his works have been acquired in countries such as Chile, Argentina, Germany, Spain and the United States.

His works stand out for the fidelity and rigor with which he portrays every detail and expression of people, landscapes and animals.
