Nariño will invest 98 billion pesos in the Samaniego – La Llanada – Los Andes highway

With the paving of 39 kilometers of road network between the municipalities of Samaniego, La Llanada and Los Andes Sotomayor in Nariño, the aim is to significantly improve the infrastructure and connectivity in this region, generating a positive impact on the economic and social development of the department.

The investment of more than 98 billion pesos will be allocated to various aspects, including studies and designs, as well as the improvement and paving of this important road corridor. These resources come from a strategic collaboration between the National Highway Institute (Invías), with a contribution of 48 billion pesos, and Fondopaz, with a sum of 50 billion pesos.

The Government of Nariño has reiterated its commitment to the development of these communities by addressing infrastructure needs, recognizing the vital importance of paving these roads to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants and promote the socioeconomic development of the region.

It is important to highlight that road infrastructure plays a fundamental role in consolidating peace and sustainable development in territories affected by the conflict. It facilitates access to basic services such as education and , improves physical infrastructure and strengthens the social fabric, contributing to the well-being and prosperity of local communities.
