Through the Emergency Operations Center, this Sunday Mayor Francisco Azcué continued to monitor the rising of the Uruguay River and closely follow the different actions being carried out with the aim of providing assistance to the residents of Concordia who are being affected.

Beyond the adverse weather conditions, the evacuation operation continued to develop as planned, in joint work between the different areas of the Municipality of Concordia, Armed Forces, Security, Volunteer Firefighters, Provincial Roads and intermediate entities.

The toll-free number that people who need to be evacuated should call is 103.

Regarding evacuations, Mayor Azcué reported that until this Sunday, May 12, a total of 167 families were evacuated, making a total of 568 people, including adults and children.

Of the total evacuated families, 108 of them, made up of 228 adults and 131 minors, were transferred to private homes.

There are 9 families, 17 adults and 18 minors, staying at the “El Refugio” Evacuation Center on Carretera La Cruz.

There are 21 families staying in the Regiment’s facilities, 37 adults and 35 minors. While in Villa Adela, there are 5 evacuated families, 13 older and 8 younger.

In the “Promin” evacuee center there are 15 families, 25 seniors and 30 minors, and in the “Ex Bagley” center, 9 families are evacuees, 17 seniors and 9 minors.

Total families that remain in the evacuee centers: 59.

To date, 359 people have been transferred to private homes and 209 have been transferred to Evacuation Centers.
