According to the Attorney General’s Office, the list of charges to the former mayor of Bolívar, Valle del Cauca, Nodier de Jesús Cardona Patiño (2020 – 2023), is due, for allegedly exceeding his duties in the exercise of his duties, terminate several provisional appointments of named servants to different territorial entities.

In that sense, according to the entity, the Provincial of Instruction of Cartago indicated that the decision, which the former president apparently adopted in 2020 regarding the termination of employment contracts, was outside his duties. And, for its part, the Public Ministry indicated that with his alleged actions Cardona had violated the principle of administrative morality, by temporarily remove from their positions an administrative technician from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, a general services assistant and an administrative assistant from the local Ministry of Health.

Finally, after the alleged excess of his duties as the first authority of the municipality, The control body filed charges for each of the aforementioned cases of dismissal, and provisionally classified the possible offense as serious committed as a very serious fault.
