The 97th edition of the Federal Road Safety Council (CFSV) was held in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, in which the new board of directors of the organization was unanimously appointed. This meeting, which included the participation of representatives from all the provinces and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, focused on the debate of proposals to address road safety federally.

The provinces that will make up the CFSV Executive Committee were elected, representing the different regions of the country. On this occasion, Tucumán was selected as a representative of the NOA, in the figure of the Secretary of Transportation, Vicente Nicastro. The Ministry of Transportation is a department of the Ministry of Public Works and Services of Tucumán, under the responsibility of the minister Santiago Yanotti.

The presidency of the CFSV will be in charge of the province of Jujuy, while La Pampa will occupy the first vice presidency and Mendoza the second vice presidency. Corrientes will assume the Executive Secretariat, Santa Fe will be in charge of the Administrative Secretariat and Catamarca will lead the Legal and Technical Secretariat.

The other regions will be represented as follows: Córdoba, for the Center region; province of Buenos Aires, for the Metropolitan region; Río Negro, through Patagonia; San Luis, through Cuyo and Chaco, through the NEA

The CFSV is a space that brings together the highest road safety authorities of the provinces to agree on public policies aimed at improving traffic and raising awareness about responsible driving, with the priority objective of reducing road accidents and their victims.

Vicente Nicastro, Secretary of Transportation of Tucumán, stated: “It is an honor for our province to assume the representation of the NOA in the National Road Safety Council. We will work tirelessly to implement policies that promote road safety on our routes and raise awareness among the population about the importance of responsible driving.
