Dimar granted authorization to a local company for maritime transport to Alta Guajira

The General Maritime and Port Directorate (Dimar) Port Captaincy of Riohacha, issued the resolution that enables the company Nautical Recreations SAS, to provide maritime passenger transport services to the tourist and industrial destinations of Alta Guajira.

The manager of Nautical, Edelmis Brito Ibarra, explained that the resolution allows him to reach places such as Cabo de la Vela, Puerto Bolívar, Puerto Nuevo, Bahía Hondita and Punta Gallinas.

He stated that his company has three 26-foot boats with two engines each and a capacity of ten people and the necessary elements to provide a quality and safe service.

He added that they are pioneers in La Guajira in the nautical tourism service, for which they have prepared for 11 years to achieve that goal.

He stated that as a tourism company, they met all the requirements demanded by Dimar to be able to provide this new service.

“This is an important achievement, but it is also the result of teamwork, perseverance and overcoming all the obstacles that came along the way,” he said.

He specified that new tourist offers and services are being opened from the District of Riohacha to La Guajira.
