Due to the low level of the Chingaza system reservoirs, which is where 70% of the drinking water consumed by Bogotá is obtained, the District implemented daily, 24-hour rationing by sector, while the dams recover. For this May 16, the shift corresponds to zone 9, which will be without service until 8:00 in the morning the next day.

It is worth remembering that the Mayor’s Office divided the capital into nine zones and each day one of them will have service suspended. The goal is to reduce consumption from 18 cubic meters per second to 15. According to the Aqueduct, the zones were demarcated according to the city’s water structure. Don’t forget, those who don’t have rationing, save water, because “Every drop matters.”
