The cuts will begin at 8 in the morning and for 24 hours.

Bogotá, the capital of Colombia, is facing an unprecedented water crisis, a situation that has not been seen in more than four decades. The low water level in the Chingaza reservoirs, that supply the vital liquid to the city and the surrounding municipalities, has led the mayor Carlos Fernando Galan to decree a measure of water rationing.

This rationing has been implemented by dividing the city into nine sectors, with 24-hour scheduled outages in days assigned to each sector. Although recent rains have helped to restore reservoir levels, they are still not enough to guarantee a continuous supply of water. For this reason, it has been considered necessary to maintain the rationing measure.
