The Game is Santa Marta” is an arts-based call to action, a voice that advocates for a city without violence or invisible borders.

The Ziruma Foundationunder the auspices of the Secretariat of Culture of Santa Martawill offer tickets to theatrical and cultural events in the neighborhoods, privileged spaces in these areas, to promote the reintegration of neighbors, help build a solid social fabric, recognize the potential of young people and provide them with opportunities for their development.

The story of “The game is Santa Marta” began in 2023 with twelve art, sports and cultural events held in spaces in neighborhoods affected by violence and invisible borders, in collaboration with the National Police, which managed to positively impact more of 5,000 young people.

This effort translated into a tangible reduction in fights and fatalities related to riots in the impacted neighborhoods.

A unique musical experience with prominent artists from the city, who have come together to motivate a space for reflection, a call to action and a manifestation of unity in diversity.

Romix, a salsa singer who asks for a track on the national stage.

Juan Manuel Palma Restrepo, known as Layno, singer and composer of the Urbano genre, born in Santa Marta.

“The Game is Santa Marta”: a way to be better, a way to be happy.

colordecolombia

The Color de Colombia Foundation was created in 2006. Our mission is to promote the recognition, social mobility and integration of the Afro-Colombian population in society and sustainable development. We have three strategic lines of work: 1) Recognition, culture and integration; 2) Quality and equity education; and 3) Economic empowerment, inclusive markets and sustainable development. We help to take care of a legacy of more than 200 years, which dates back to before the black and mulatto protagonists (“colored”, as it was officially said at the time) of the Colombian war of independence and spans two long centuries contributing to building this country. We feel inheritors of the experience of black Colombians in national modernity. When Colombianity was born, the descendants of Africans were already here and helped create the new nation, which became our homeland, which we love so much, even if we did not receive the proper treatment.
