Córdoba presents its govtech strategy at the Govtech 4 Impact International Congress

CorLab, the Public Innovation and Govtech Laboratory of the Smart City and Digital Transformation Secretariat of the Municipality of Córdoba, is participating in the Govtech 4 Impact World Congress 2024, the most important international event in the field of govtech. This conference, held in Madrid, Spain, brings together leaders, visionary leaders, investors, startups, government officials and innovators from around the world to address the most critical challenges facing governments today. More than 900 participants from 50 countries, 100 speakers and 50 work sessions.

G4I presents itself as the global meeting point for the transformation of public sector services, with the main objective of create agile and efficient governments that have a real impact on the lives of millions of citizens. The event offers the opportunity to establish strategic alliances, share cutting-edge technological solutions and create great public value.

Luciano Crisafulli, Undersecretary of Knowledge Economy and Govtech Ecosystem, who attended the congress on behalf, mentioned “On this first day we talked about the impact that digital transformation is having, increasing efficiency in public management in governments, through artificial intelligence. The role of the govtech ecosystem in bringing talents and capabilities to public management was also highlighted, based on teams of entrepreneurs with high talent and technological knowledge who can be very important allies for governments to deepen their digital transformation strategy. and innovation.

CorLab’s participation

CorLab is proud to participate in this conference to present its innovative solutions in the govtech field. Their outstanding participation revolves around the results and learning obtained through the design and implementation of the Córdoba Smart City Fund, the first Govtech Fund in Latin America. Thanks to this Fund, the Municipality of Córdoba has managed to invest in 16 govtech startups in two years and implement 10 open innovation solutions in areas such as modernization, environment, education and transportation. So far, 1.7 million dollars have been invested in the Fund, which has the support of the IDB Lab and has received recognition from the OECD Public Policy Observatory.

Luciano Crisafulli, Undersecretary of Knowledge Economy and Govtech Ecosystem, will represent the City of Córdoba (Argentina) in two panels scheduled during the congress:

  1. Blueprint for Innovation: Launching a GovTech Strategy in Your Government (May 22): This panel will provide valuable information on the development and implementation of govtech strategies within government institutions. It will have the active participation of renowned international experts such as Laura Kirchner (Spain), Orlando Rojas (Chile), Enrique Zapata (Mexico), Fernando de Pablo (Spain) and Luciano Crisafulli (Argentina).
  2. A new generation of govtech laboratories (May 23): This panel will invite reflection and debate on the future of govtech labs and their innovative approaches to public services. Prominent specialists such as Javier Madariaga (Argentina), Guilherme Dominguez (Brazil), Enrique Zapata (Mexico), Saioa Leguinagoicoa (Spain) and Luciano Crisafulli (Argentina) will participate.
