Among the shortcomings found, the lack of hygiene in the establishments stood out, as well as the absence of regulatory documentation. In addition, meats in poor condition, chorizos, blood sausages and raw materials without labeling of origin were found, thus indicating a possible origin of clandestine slaughter.

Given this situation, 530 kilograms of sausages were confiscated, which were removed from stores due to their state of conservation. Likewise, closure strips were placed in two butcher shops due to the poor building conditions of the place, which exposed meat products for sale to the public.

These controls are carried out with the aim of maintaining strict control of the businesses, thus ensuring that the meat products offered to the consumer meet the health requirements necessary for consumption. Likewise, it seeks to prevent the circulation of products from clandestine operations, which can put the health of those who consume them at risk.

It is important to highlight that these types of inspections are essential to guarantee the food safety of the population and the correct handling of food. The competent authorities will continue to carry out these interventions throughout the territory, in order to protect the health of consumers and guarantee the quality of meat products sold in the city.
