In the midst of the strike called for this Wednesday and Thursday, Fenix spoke with the general secretary of the CTA, Beatriz Martínez.

He highlighted that the reason is the lack of response from the government to the demand for a salary increase: “We are on a very broad front where we are resisting these national definancing policies,” he highlighted.

“It is a strike demanding wages, where someone has to respond,” he said when asked whether the measure of force is directed against the national or provincial government.

Likewise, he considered that the problem of low salaries deepened with the arrival of President Javier Milei: “We workers are not the caste nor the corrupt.”

On the other hand, regarding the news that the government will send food to Concordia, Entre Ríos, Martínez said that “it would be a big mistake if the governor of La Rioja is not prioritizing the people of Rioja.”

“We are not going to agree with a government that sells the country,” he asserted, launching strong criticism of the government of Javier Milei.
