More than 60 thousand families that are supplied by 14 community aqueducts in communes 12 and 13 will be beneficiaries of the execution of the Boquerón treatment plant, an infrastructure that aims to supply drinking water to the southern neighborhoods.

“I am very happy with the progress of the works, we already have all the components of the plant built such as the sedimentation tanks, filters, chlorination areas, backwashing, with which we will soon deliver good news to the citizens,” highlighted Mayor Johana Aranda.

For her part, the manager of IBAL, Erika Palma, mentioned that the structure has all the technical and operational processes, “also the entry channel through which the first liter of the Cocora source, of the Second Acueducto project, will arrive, which will the entire purification process to deliver drinking water to these communities.

Likewise, the official announced that approximately 32 billion pesos were invested in the macroproject in order to provide quality service to community aqueducts such as Miramar, Colinas 1 and 2, San Isidro, La Isla, Jazmín, The Union, among others.
