Guantánamo – With the premise of socializing experiences related to the role of higher education centers as transforming agents of the cultural, social and economic development of communities, the University Scientific Workshop: Project Management of sociocultural impact on local development.

For the sixth time the Guantanamo University will be the promoter of the meeting that will host delegates from the Universities of Cienfuegos, Camaguey, Holguín, Las Tunas, Santiago de Cuba, Guantánamo and other countries such as Mexico and Colombia from May 24 to 26.

The opening day will feature the masterful intervention of the Doctor of Sciences, Sylvia María Valenzuela, president of the Latin American Union of Interuniversity Extension of ColombiaIn addition, postgraduate courses taught by prominent academics from the territory and from other universities are planned.

Likewise, other research linked to the socioeconomic, environmental and science and technological innovation projection based on local development will be discussed, among other research that will facilitate the exchange of knowledge related to methodological experiences in the improvement of university extension projects.

Likewise, the more than 150 delegates will also discuss multidisciplinary and multisectoral work in social service and university volunteering, institutional responsibility in social projection, science and technological innovation and sociocultural management in local development, the Honorary Chairs and their contributions to local development.
