It all started when Chile Vamos did not evaluate the candidacy of the general secretary of the Republican Party, Ruth Hurtado, in a good way and began to survey possible candidates.

It all started when Chile Vamos did not evaluate the candidacy of the general secretary of the Republican Party, Ruth Hurtado, in a good way and began to survey possible candidates.

Given this situation, Hurtado herself pointed out against the candidacy of Jaime Bellolio (UDI) in Providencia.

Thus, the general secretary of National Renewal, Andrea Balladares, said that “it is difficult to understand that we want to maintain the work of the mayors of Chile Vamos. The Republican Party maintains a disagreement for no reason. We have always set the unity of all of us who feel opposition as our maxim.”

For his part, the head of the Republican Party caucus in the Chamber of Deputies, Stephan Schubert, responded that “it is important that the parties learn to respect each other’s activity and how each one develops. Also, make sure to propose good proposals and offer good names to lead the communes.”
