The PRO Corrientes rearms itself for the next elections

A new line, close to Gustavo Valdés, emerges and positions itself at the provincial political level: PRO+.

With the strong support of more than half of the departmental leaders and presidents of the province, this new space, promoted by young leaders such as the capital councilor and Secretary of the PRO Mercedes Mestres, the President of the Department of Lavalle Lucas Gutiérrez, the President of the Department of Mburucuyá Oscar Cáceres and the former candidate for councilor for the Capital Jorge Prieto Piragine, are advancing steadily on the provincial scene.

Also led by references of experience such as María Alice Galarza from Ituzaingu, the former President of PRO Corrientes, the prestigious Dr. Flavio Serra, the President of the Capital Department Augusto Costaguta, the President of the Saladas Department Miguel Gómez, the president of the Concepción Department Héctor Ayala, the president of the Provincial Assembly Roque Velozo and the capital’s reference and official Fernando Castillo, among others, PRO+ positions itself within the party and gives an important nod to Governor Gustavo Valdés. With this new ally, the provincial government would ensure an important party for next year’s elections.

A few days ago, these leaders held a meeting as a demonstration of cohesion and commitment to the internal and external development of the party, with the main objective of starting a new group, building its identity and establishing a common internal agenda to address the challenges faced by the party itself and the region, and support the Provincial Government.

During the meeting, fundamental topics were discussed for strengthening the space and its link with the community, such as territorial growth, the promotion of citizen participation, the development of effective communication strategies and the strengthening of local leadership. PRO+ leaders highlighted the importance of working in a coordinated and collaborative manner within the party to consolidate its presence and influence in the ECO+Vamos Corrientes alliance and in provincial politics.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to continue united in the implementation of the agreed agenda, thus demonstrating their firm will to contribute to the growth and development of the PRO in the Province of Corrientes.
