With the documentary “Malqueridas” this Friday, May 24, Atacama Lab returns, an initiative of the Illustrious Municipality of Calama through its Culture and Tourism Corporation that seeks to continue generating spaces for cultural, heritage and tourist dissemination within the commune.

This activity will take place in the new Oasis Park, starting at 7:00 p.m. and with the collaboration of the Miradocs film dissemination program, an entity that is financed by the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage.

Edwin Alavia Ticona, Executive Director of the Culture and Tourism Corporation, referred to this initiative and made an invitation to become part of this activity.

“Tomorrow we are going to present the documentary “Malqueridas”, which is a documentary that is part of our programming to reach different spaces here in Calama, now the Oasis Park corresponds, so I invite you to 7:00 p.m. there in the Oasis Park to see this documentary and we are going to welcome you with great enthusiasm to continue in this line of reaching different spaces and especially with culture.”

The documentary “Malqueridas” collectively portrays the experience of mothers who are deprived of liberty in Chile. Their children grow up far away and they find affection in other classmates who share their same situation.

The audiovisual record, which is directed by Tana Gilbert, has a duration of 74 minutes and during its career it has accumulated a series of accolades and awards at festivals such as Mar del Plata, Sâo Paulo, Valladolid, Valdivia and FIDOCS, among others.
