Province will hold the Regional Workshop to Strengthen the Immunization Program in Puerto Madryn

The activity is promoted by the Ministry of Health of Chubut and will take place from Tuesday, May 28 to Thursday, May 30, at the Rayentray Hotel in the port city. The purpose is to contribute to improving the coverage and quality of immunization services provided to the community.

Organized by the Government of Chubut, through the provincial Health Secretariat, from Tuesday, May 28 to Thursday, May 30, the “Regional Workshop for the Strengthening of the Immunization Program” will be held in the city of Puerto Madryn, an event that will feature the participation of representatives of the National Directorate of Control of Immunopreventable Diseases (DICEI) of the Ministry of Health of the Nation and representatives of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).

The activity will take place at the facilities of the Rayentray Hotel in the port city, and will contribute to improving the coverage and quality of immunization services provided to the community.

The official opening will take place on Tuesday, May 28, at 9 a.m., with the presence of provincial and municipal authorities. In turn, the registration of participants will be specified in advance.

Goals

From the Provincial Directorate of Prevalent Pathologies and Epidemiology of the Chubut health portfolio, they reported that the objectives of this workshop are to reinforce the management tools necessary for the effective development of the Expanded Immunization Program (EPI) and strengthen key components, such as the nominal registry , the cold chain and epidemiological surveillance, contributing to improving the coverage and quality of immunization services throughout the province.

Likewise, they indicated that the activity will have the participation of representatives of the Immunization Program from all of Chubut, who play a fundamental role in the planning and execution of vaccination strategies at the jurisdictional level; intermediate level staff, who have the responsibility of training and supervising the staff in charge of administering vaccines; hospital epidemiological surveillance leaders, whose participation is crucial to guarantee the early detection of adverse events and the timely notification of outbreaks; and representatives of other health programs, since intersectoral collaboration is essential for the success of the immunization program. Finally, it should be noted that the presence of vaccination teams from the province of Santa Cruz is also planned.
