In 2023, exports from SMEs from La Rioja to Brazil increased by 4.6%

In 2023, 1,630 small and medium-sized Argentine companies exported to Brazil for USD 1,176 million; The total exported volume was 1.1 million tons and the average value per ton was USD 1,101. Argentine SME exports in 2023 represented 9.4% of the national total exported in dollars.

The data arises from the SME Export Monitor (MEP) to Brazil, prepared by the Department of Statistics and Reports of CAME, within the framework of the trade mission that the entity promotes with the neighboring country to promote and increase the insertion of Argentine products in this market, generating income and employment in the most dynamic sector of the national economy.

The report also shows that 30 small and medium-sized companies accounted for 37.3% of total exports during the last year, while 20 products represented 51.6% of exports. Unprocessed foods and Processed foods top the list of most required items, with 31.5% and 27.8% of the total, respectively. They are followed by Electrical Materials (10.1%), Manufacturing and Cardboard Paper (7.1%), and Chemicals (6.9%). In the last 12 months, these five items explained 83.4% of the exports in dollars of Argentine SMEs.

In the case of La Rioja, exports increased by 4.6%.
