Where tree plantations are carried out in the City of Buenos Aires

The plantations are carried out both in the Buenos Aires green spaces of all the communes and in planters located on public roads. Meanwhile, 7,500 new plants will be added and 6,131 empty plants will be surveyed and, in addition, 4,443 specimens will be added to green spaces.

The species that will be used to replace the lost specimens in the road trees are those defined for each corridor by the current Master Plan. In that sense, for the recomposition of green spaces The same species or similar to those that previously existed will be used.

In this way, the annual plan will have at least 30 different species of trees such as golden ash, crape, photinia, viscote, cow’s foot or ox’s hoof, anacahuita, missionary cedar, pink lapacho, flower plum, jacaranda, liquidambar, tulipanero, plantain, linden, ibirapitá or cane fistula, tipa, American ash, silver maple, among others.
