Puerto Arica Terminal (TPA) has taken a step towards modernizing and improving its operations this year by initiating overhaul and upgrade projects on its main cranes. To carry out these initiatives, the concessionaire established a strategic alliance with Hansa-Flex Chilea company with which it started a new manufacturing service for high-quality German flexibles within the port area.

In this context, TPA received a visit from the supplier in its maintenance workshop, marking the beginning of this new service.

This advance, according to the concessionaire of the Port of Arica, represents great support and support to implement a coding system that will allow it to effectively track and manage all the flexible measurements in its assets, simplifying orders and guaranteeing the traceability of information.

This new service not only improves, according to TPA, spill management and reduces the MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) in flexibles, but also strengthens the overhaul plan in its GHMK 8410 and LHM600 mobile cranes.

He Deputy Manager of Asset Management and Logistics of Terminal Puerto Arica, Gerald Kong, commented that “we are convinced that these actions will significantly improve the availability of our cranes. “We continue to work closely with Hansa-Flex to expand this service to cover other subsystems in the equipment.”

Terminal Puerto Arica reaffirms its commitment to operational excellence and innovation, ensuring that its operations continue to be efficient and sustainable for the benefit of its customers and the community.
