Cartageneras shine at the Caribbean Model Fashion 2024 in San Andrés

From May 23 to 28, the paradisiacal San Andrés Island becomes the epicenter of a large-scale cultural and artistic event. Organized with the objective of disseminating talent and artistic expression, as well as promoting sustainable tourism, this event also seeks, in accordance with its organization, to highlight ethical values ​​among participants and attendees. Since 2012, organizers have been developing various activities and programs focused on generating a positive impact on the island’s natives.

Representing Cartagena de Indias in this outstanding event will be Laura Teherán, Deisy Puerta and Ashley Carreño. With their beauty and charisma, these three ambassadors are preparing to dazzle attendees during the days of the event. The presence of these representatives from Cartagena highlights the talent but above all the discipline of the young women who for several months have been preparing to give their best on the catwalks. The event will have three catwalks; The inaugural one, titled “Cultural Wear/Ethnic Wear/Ethnic and Cultural Fashion,” will present a collective of fashion creators with cultural and ethnic identity. Along these same lines, a variety of typical costumes from the invited cities, both national and international, will be shown, accompanied by vibrant cultural and artistic shows.

Another of the featured catwalks will be “Street Wear/Urban Wear/Ready to Wear/Urban Fashion, Ready to Wear.” This presentation will take place in one of the main streets of the central hotel sector of San Andrés, offering an authentic and realistic staging. The final touch of the event will be the “Beach Wear” catwalk, a tribute to one of the greatest attractions of San Andrés: its beaches. This presentation, eagerly awaited by all guests, will close the event with a stunning view of the Caribbean.

Both Ashley, Laura and Deisy have been preparing for months with a high level of commitment under the supervision of Víctor Mosquera, who has been immersed in the sector for more than two decades. The three young women who today seek to make their way on the catwalks are convinced that confidence and charisma, more than physical beauty, will open many doors for them in the world of modeling.
